Airbnb Effect: Story of an “endangered” property / 2

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Low real estate values combined with high extractive capacity characterize interstitial property in the historic center. Such property is at risk of being fully incorporated in the tourism industry, purchased by investors and no longer available to local residents.
Analyzing listings and reviews on web-sites such as Booking and Airbnb, and comparing them with surveys and off-line interviews, the research identifies 5 characteristics that make cheap property particularly attractive for tourists.
